Our vacancies typically open in late December and are open until March. To apply to the apprenticeship programme visit Diamond’s website, click on the careers tab and either click on All Vacancies under “professionals” on this page or click on the apprenticeships tab and click apply now. You will need to complete an application form, (TIP: consider what we are looking for, think about the questions carefully and provide examples to support what you’re saying where possible). Applications are screened at this stage and if successful you will be invited to undertake two tests which are:
For those who pass the tests the applications are carefully reviewed and scored against set criteria and those who are successful are invited to interview. After all interviews are held, we will be back in touch to advise of the outcome.
Entry requirements are 5 GCSEs at Grade 4/C or equivalent, including Mathematics, English and a Science
You’ll gain a Level 3 Advanced Engineering apprenticeship. Upon completion you will have the opportunity to become professionally registered as an EngTech with the Institution of Engineering and Technology.
During year 1 you’ll study full time at the brand new Oxfordshire Advanced Skills (OAS) training centre in Culham with consolidation weeks spent at Diamond. Training is delivered by block releases of two weeks of training at OAS after year 1. On-the-job training will be provided within work placements around different areas within Diamond. Access to additional development is available and training such as an outward bound course is provided.
The apprenticeship is 42 – 48 months duration.
You’ll be employed as an apprentice on a fixed term contract for 48 months (about 4 years), and this includes employee benefits.
