XPDF Analysis Workshop 2024
Provided by the I15-1 Team, this workshop will be a comprehensive introduction into PDF theory will allow for delegates to understand basic PDF experiments, what makes good total scattering and PDF data and how to analyse it. There will also be opportunities for small group tours to the beamline for a more hands on experience.
The event will include sessions targeted at various analysis techniques with extensive tutorials provided using TOPAS, Symmetry-Adapted PDF Analysis (SAPA) and Dissolve. This will allow for delegates to apply the analysis routes to guided tutorials and time permitting, their own data.
During the event there will also be opportunities for those attending to bring their own data and discuss any analysis issues with the I15-1 staff.

There are limited spaces to attend this event, therefore access is subject to an application process.
Applications for the XPDF Analysis Workshop are now open, Application will be open until 17:00 (BST) on Monday 7th October.
All applicants will be informed on the outcome of their application on the week commencing Monday 14th October 2024.
If your application is successful, there will be a £100 registration fee to attend the event in person, at Diamond Light Source.
As part of the registration fee, accommodation will be arranged and provided at a local hotel, The Bear Hotel, Wantage (check in Tuesday 19th November, check out Thursday 21st November 2024) as well as transfers between the Hotel and Diamond Light Source.
In addition, all meals and refreshments will be provided throughout the event.
Attendees will be required to arrange and cover the cost of their transport to and from Diamond Light Source.
