I21 Inelastic X-ray Scattering
Status: Operational
Energy: 0.20 - 3.0 keV
Lab Components
We have a laboratory area in the right corner of the I21 building. The following components are available for use:
- Laminar flow bench
- HV desiccators
- Hot plate
- Oven
- Precision balance
- Stereo Microscope
- Ultrasonic bath
- Three-dimensional coarse manual manipulator with microtweezers
- UHV suitcase for sample transfer in inert atmosphere from glovebox to load lock
Please, note there is no glove box in I21. Glove boxes are available to users in Diamond Chemical labs, but should be requested by the users via ERA form and booked by contacting the team of Diamond Laboratory Services well in advance.
Additional resources
In addition we also have different types of glue (silver paint, silver paste, epoxy) for gluing samples on the puck, posts of various thicknesses for sample cleaving, and permanent magnets of approx 150mT. Please contact the beamline staff in case you require more detailed information.
