Veronica is a Senior Beamline Scientist on B18.
Email: veronica.celorrio@diamond.ac.ukVeronica's research activities are focused on the synthesis, characterization and reactivity/performance analysis of materials for catalysis and electrochemical energy conversion. More specifically, she is interested in the characterization and understanding of materials with application in catalysis, electrochemical sciences, fuel cells and solar technology. She is highly enthusiastic about the opportunities that this research field provides, especially at the interface between materials chemistry, catalysis and X-ray techniques.
Veronica received her degree in Chemical Engineering in 2007 from the University of Zaragoza (Spain). Later in 2008, she joined the “Instituto de Carboquímica (CSIC)” (public research Centre belonging to the Spanish National Research Council) to complete my PhD in Chemical Engineering in 2012. She then held postdoctoral positions at Bristol University and University College London. In 2017 she received the STFC Futures Early Career Award with her project “In situ XAS of non-Pt electrocatalysts for Oxygen Reduction Reaction”.
