Individual Class Virtual Visit to Diamond
An individual class virtual visit to Diamond is a chance for teachers and students to virtually visit Diamond Light Source at a time to suit you and your class. They are arranged directly with individual schools.
An event looking at some of the opportunities available in the fields of science and engineering. It comprises of a series of workshops and a short tour of Diamond. It is a chance to see the range of scientific careers available, meet some researchers and perform some experiments.

Particle Physics Masterclasses (KS5)
A series of lectures and workshops exploring cutting edge particle physics, the event will include a visit to either the Diamond Light Source or ISIS particle accelerators.
We conduct a large amount of world leading biological research here at Diamond, particularly in the area of crystallography. This is the chance to visit Diamond for a series of lectures, workshops and lab work investigating the journey from gene to protein and what we can learn from looking at protein shape and structure.
In-School Visits/Talks (All Ages)
As well as on-site visits, we also arrange for members of Diamond staff or visiting scientists to go into schools, meet students and give a talks/lectures on the work that we do at Diamond. For primary ages we have developed a series of demonstrations and mini-experiments to help engage with students.
As well as our regular events we also run occasionally run special events, have a look here to see if we have any coming up.
Diamond is part of the Rutherford Appleton Laboratories, many of the other facilities on site are run by STFC who also run a range of exciting opportunities for schools and the public.
