Diamond is home to some of the most exciting and cutting edge biological science in the UK. Diamond allows scientists to uncover the atomic structure of proteins, the molecules coded by our DNA which provide our cells with structure and function. Understanding the structure of proteins allows us to understand how they interact in the body, how drugs interact, and how disease functions.
We would like to welcome year 12 and 13 students to Diamond to experience cutting edge biological science, giving an insight into real world research.
Over the course of the day, students will undertake a series of workshops and activities in small groups. Topics covered will include;
