Schools/College Work Experience - Application Form

Please complete the application form below. Following a review of the applications this may be followed by a short telephone interview. All successful applicants will be contacted within three weeks of the closing date. The application deadline is 11:59pm on Sunday 18th February 2024. The Work Experience week will run 8th - 12th July 2024.

Please note: the application asks for general information like your name, school etc, plus which projects you would like to apply for, ranked by your preference. We also ask for a Supporting Statement. This Statement should be a maximum of 300 words and explain why you would like to come to Diamond Light Source for Work Experience, highlighting what you hope to get out of your Work Experience. This needs to be completed by the student and we advise that you prepare this statement before starting the application form.

On completion of the application form you will receive an automated email, if you do not receive this within 2 hours please contact Diamond Public Engagement publicengagement@diamond.ac.uk as it may mean your application has not been received.

Please note the zero at the beginning of your phone number will have been removed on your confirmation email.

Shortlisted candidates will be contacted by Friday 8th March 2024.

PLEASE CHECK WITH YOUR SCHOOL/COLLEGE THAT YOU WILL BE AVAILABLE ON THE DATES OF THE PLACEMENT AS THESE DATES ARE NOT FLEXIBLE.
