Izzy Barker

Izzy joined the industrial XChem team in September 2022 after finishing her undergraduate degree at the University of Sussex. She has since moved to the position of Industrial Liaison Scientist supporting industry in the use of Diamond's MX and XChem facilities. During her degree she gained a solid understanding of protein preparation and macromolecular crystallography which led to the award of a first class MSci (Hons) in Biochemistry.

During her degree she also completed two summer internships at Evotec, Abingdon where she gained experience in insect expression of proteins.
