Full service - Clients can choose from a full range of membrane protein work offered at MPL - from protein purification and characterisation, to crystallisation screening and optimisation, data collection, and analysis. The CF provides an opportunity for soluble protein crystallisation followed by full structural analysis. You can decide at which phase you want to opt in to use this service; each phase includes a decision point on how to proceed further.
Selected services – You can choose to use one or several services available at MPL or CF, according to your experimental requirements (e.g. LCP-FRAP or crystallisation trials).
There are a number of access modes available for clients using the MPL. These include:
Mail-in service – the client arranges transportation of the relevant materials to Diamond for the selected service and the experiment(s) will be performed by a dedicated team of Diamond membrane protein scientists.
On-site visit with staff support – this mode is suitable for clients who wish to be present at the MPL or the CF and (partially or fully) participate in the experiment(s). You will perform the experiment at the MPL yourself but will enjoy full scientific support from Diamond’s scientific experts.
On-site visit with initial induction – Clients perform the experiment independently after an initial induction by a member of Diamond's MPL staff. This mode is available only for experienced scientists visiting the MPL or the CF on a regular basis.
