If you are an academic user of cryo-EM, further information is available to help you access eBIC.
Thermo Fisher Scientific and Diamond Light Source have joined together to provide two dedicated microscopes and professional cryo-EM services for the pharmaceutical industry. Single particle analysis and cryo-tomography methods allow industrial users to routinely visualise macro-molecular complexes at near atomic resolution, leveraging this powerful technique to solve difficult-to-crystallise and dynamic proteins of therapeutic interest.
Access to both a Glacios Cryo-TEM and a Krios Cryo-TEM at one location optimises productivity and time-to-result because of the designed-in connectivity between the two instruments. Scientists can prescreen samples on the Glacios Cryo-TEM to find the best quality samples before advancing to the higher resolution imaging on the Krios Cryo-TEM.
The team also provides cryo-EM guidance and expertise in sample preparation, cryo-EM sample screening, and high-end data collection to industrial researchers, allowing them to maximise their time spent with the instruments. Find out more about the services we offer.
eBIC for Industry provides an effective way in which to apply cryo-electron microscopy to your research, without the need for a large upfront investment in in-house equipment and expertise. Co-located with the synchrotron, eBIC for Industry enhances the integrated structural biology package available for industrial users.
Confidentiality and data security are key for all of our industrial customers, and we apply stringent measures to ensure your data are stored and managed securely.
Structural biology enables you to obtain absolute actionable insight into the mechanisms and interactions of partner molecules in fundamental biological or disease processes.
Using cryo-electron microscopy for your research, enables you to:
