Diamond has a wide-range of world-class resources to support your SAXS experiment.
SAXS resources
I22: A Flexible SAXS Beamline
Diamond offers a dedicated, flexible Small Angle X-ray Scattering (SAXS) beamline that can accommodate a wide variety of samples over the broadest possible q range.
Sample Environments
A wide range of sample environments is available, including options for controlling temperature, pressure, or applied strain. Alternatively, you can bring your own rig, with a few modifications to enable X-rays to pass through the sample. Our team can help you design the best experiment to suit your needs.
WAXS
Simultaneous SAXS/WAXS measurements are possible on I22, utilising our large 2D Pilatus detectors for both SAXS and WAXS. The automated data reduction processes allow data to be visualised during experiments, guiding experimental design in real-time.
Software
The Scatter software, developed in part at Diamond, is available for download and can be used for a range of analysis options. It is freely available for use by industrial users. DAWN, the Data Analysis WorkbeNch open-access software developed at Diamond, is also widely used and can process and analyse your data.
SAXS Lab
A dedicated sample preparation lab is provided to meet all your sample preparation needs. We can store your samples under appropriate conditions ahead of your experiment, and facilities are available to prepare samples on-site, from chemical synthesis through to sample validation using a range of lab instrumentation.
